Product details
Some instruments are tools. The Yamaha Montage is an institution — the workstation behind countless records, scores and tours. The Montage M Expanded Softsynth puts that entire platform inside your DAW: the AWM2 sample engine with its world-class pianos, strings, brass and drums, the FM-X engine for cutting-edge digital synthesis, and the Motion Control performance system that makes it all feel alive. One plugin, two legendary engines, endless sounds.
You get it here at 84% off — €79.99 instead of €499.00 — with your own license key and a download link sent to your email.
Real instruments, real synthesis
The AWM2 engine is why the Montage earned its reputation. These are not generic ROMpler sounds — they are deeply sampled, expressive acoustic and electric instruments: grand pianos with real weight, strings that breathe, brass with bite, guitars, basses, drums and choirs that sit in a mix without fighting it. For composers and producers who need believable traditional instruments, this is the shortlist.
Then there is FM-X. Frequency modulation is Yamaha’s home turf — the company that invented the DX7 — and the FM-X engine is its modern evolution: glassy bells, punchy digital basses, crystalline leads and evolving textures that no subtractive synth can touch. Layer FM-X with AWM2 and you get hybrid sounds with acoustic attack and digital shimmer, the kind of thing that makes listeners ask what you used.
Play it, don’t just program it
The Super Knob is the Montage’s signature performance feature: one control that morphs multiple parameters simultaneously, letting you sweep a sound from dark and intimate to bright and huge in a single gesture. The Motion Sequencer adds rhythmic parameter automation, and the advanced arpeggiator generates complex patterns from simple input. These are not gimmicks — they are how you get human-feeling movement into programmed music.
Session-ready by design
The multi-part performance system lets you build layered, split and stacked arrangements inside one instance. Built-in professional effects — reverb, chorus, delay, compression, master EQ — polish sounds without extra plugins. The high-resolution audio engine keeps the output pristine, and the whole instrument is designed for studio integration, sitting comfortably next to your EQs, compressors and other virtual instruments.
